PPA S.A.: “Kunpeng Scholarship” Program Returns for a Second Year with Broader Income Eligibility Criteria

Following the successful first year of its “Kunpeng Scholarship” Program, Piraeus Port Authority S.A. is continuing the initiative for the 2026–2027 academic year, with broader income eligibility criteria. This change will allow more young people to apply for a scholarship as they begin their university studies, reflecting the Company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the younger generation and local communities.

The program’s first year marked the start of an initiative that combines recognition of young people’s academic efforts with practical support as they enter higher education. Its continuation for a second consecutive year reinforces this approach, sustaining PPA S.A.’s contribution to the educational journeys of young people in the wider Piraeus area. A key feature of this year’s program is the broadening of income eligibility criteria, enabling applicants from a wider range of households to participate.

The program is open to first-year students at Greek universities who have graduated from Greek public general or vocational upper secondary schools, are registered citizens of the Municipalities of Piraeus, Perama, Keratsini–Drapetsona or Salamina and meet the eligibility requirements.

The continuation and expansion of the Scholarship Program form part of PPA S.A.’s corporate social responsibility activities, with a focus on education and strengthening the port’s ties with its neighboring communities. This year's program, worth a total of €30,000 and offering 10 scholarships of €3,000 each, also coincides with the 10th anniversary of COSCO SHIPPING's strategic investment and management in Piraeus Port Authority. The aim is to help young people fulfil their potential and take the next step in their education with greater confidence.

Applicants may submit their applications and the required supporting documents exclusively online by October 30th at 16:30.
